| The Civic blew a headgasket for no apparent reason in the Taco Bell drive thru last night. It all started with a stumble while waiting to pay. A moment later one rod knock echoed off the stucco wall. Uh-oh. 30 seconds later the intermittant rod knock turned into a steady rod knock machine gun grinding the motor to a hault. :) I restarted it to limp it out of line and blew thick coolant smoke and walked back to get my food. All of the T-bell employees had a good laugh at me :) Oil level was right where it should have been and fresh. No hard driving, no high temp gauge, no idea why. Looks like fixing the Z is becoming a more pressing issue by the day! See sig for meatloaf explanation...

Daily driving a TT is like ordering your favorite pizza for breakfast lunch and dinner. It's not healthy and eventually you will lose the magic of the meal. Sometimes you just have to have some meatloaf. My new meatloaf.... 1994 Black Honda Civic DX :D "...people often mistake charisma for integrity. Sure, he's a nice guy, but that doesn't necessarily make him honest (or dishonest). They are independent variables." -Kenny |
